Is your child prepared to travel safely and independently in the community?
In 2021 Neighbourhood Watch NT launched an Australian-first e-learning portal with accessible and interactive information to support caregivers in preparing their child/ren to travel safely on their way to and from school and within their community.
Neighbourhood Watch 4 Kids (NHW4Kids) takes children and caregivers on an interactive learning journey to:
improve their safety knowledge
increase their confidence
empower them to trust their instincts
teach them to react appropriately to unsafe situations.
NHW4Kids is founded on best-practice advice and developed with a play-based approach. The portal covers topics including:
recognising and reacting to unsafe situations
early warning signs
personal and instant networks
planning a safe route
identifying potential safety hazards in a virtual neighbourhood.
The portal is free, fun and easy to use and is available online at
